About this what's my ip address
Your public IP address is the number the internet sees when you browse — websites, games and video calls all connect to it. This page shows yours, plus the approximate location and provider attached to it.
How to use it
- Just open the page — the lookup runs automatically.
- Copy the address if a support agent or game host asks for it.
- Click Look up again after connecting or disconnecting a VPN to see the change.
Worked example
If you connect through a VPN in Singapore, this page shows a Singapore IP and location — that is what websites see too.
Frequently asked questions
Is this my exact home location?
No. IP location is approximate — usually the city your provider routes through, which can be many kilometres away. It is never your house address.
Why does my IP change sometimes?
Most home connections get a dynamic address that changes when the router reconnects. That is normal.
IPv4 or IPv6?
This tool reports your IPv4 address via ipify, with details from ipapi. Many connections also have an IPv6 address.
