How to use this palette
Search by number or name, choose your paper finish, and tap a swatch. Coated values are widely published screen approximations of the PANTONE Formula Guide colours. The Uncoated view is a simulation โ uncoated paper absorbs ink, so colours print duller than on coated stock.
Important: for production printing, always match against a physical PANTONE Formula Guide under good light. PANTONE is a trademark of Pantone LLC; this page is an unofficial reference.
Frequently asked questions
Why do Coated and Uncoated versions exist?
The ink is identical โ the paper is not. Coated paper keeps ink on the surface (brighter colour), uncoated paper absorbs it (softer colour). Printers keep both guides so the proof matches the job.
Can I print directly from these HEX values?
HEX is a screen format. For print, use the CMYK values shown as a starting point and proof on press โ or specify the Pantone number itself for true spot-colour work.
Why does my screen colour differ from the printed piece?
Screens emit light (RGB) while print reflects it (CMYK/spot inks), and every screen is calibrated differently. Treat screen values as a guide, not a contract.
